The Commission's primary function involves promulgating and enforcing the State Building Code through plan reviews, inspections and serving as the state's contract administrator for state-funded construction. 
The State Building Code applies to the following:

• Motion Picture Theaters

• Additional Instructions for Contracts Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) (see forms)

• Mandatory Supplement to the General Conditions

• Mandatory Submittal of Energy Code Compliance Documents
