MANDATORY SUBMITTAL

OF

ENERGY CODE COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTS

FEBRUARY 23, 2009 

·        Effective March 16, 2009, the Energy Code Compliance Documentation, when required, shall be submitted with the Final Submittal instead of the Preliminary Submittal. Final Submittals that do not include the Energy Code Compliance Documentation shall be considered incomplete and will not be approved. 

·        For projects where the Energy Code Compliance Documentation was submitted with the Schematic or Preliminary Submittal prior to March 16, 2009 and the Final Submittal will be submitted after March 16, 2009, the Energy Code Compliance Documentation shall be resubmitted with the Final Submittal. 

·        For projects where the Revised Final Submittal will be submitted after March 16, 2009 but the Final Submittal was received prior to March 16, 2009, the Energy Code Compliance Documentation will not be required for approval unless previously noted on the Final Project Comment Letter or the design has been modified to the extent that the previously submitted Energy Code Compliance Documentation is no longer valid.

·        Per the Building Commission’s Administrative Rule 170-X-2-.04 (2), the State Energy Code only applies to buildings constructed or remodeled with state appropriated funds or funds from any other instrumentality of the state.
